Entity consistency is the degree to which a brand, person, product, or service is described in a uniform, unambiguous way across all pages of a website and across external sources such as directories, social profiles, and third-party publications. When entity descriptions are inconsistent — different names, conflicting service scopes, mismatched locations — AI systems and search engines struggle to build a reliable representation of the entity. Consistency strengthens entity recognition and improves the probability of correct attribution in AI-generated answers
